Let me start off by saying that I am straight. But that's not really important in this.
Anyway, so I was on Youtube watching videos one day, and I saw a video about how people FINALLY realized that you can't try and turn a homosexual person into a heterosexual person. And it really got me thinking on how much I hate all the hate that homosexuals get.
I've known forever that I'm a supporter of gay rights, because I believe everyone has the right to choose who they love.
I read a couple pages of the comments (because I love doing that on contrivercial videos), and someone brought something to my attention.
The people who say "oh, people CHOOSE to be gay!" are obviously wrong!!
Why would someone CHOOSE to be descriminated against? Why would someone CHOOSE to not be allowed to marry someone they love? Why would someone CHOOSE to live a life that many people don't accept?
That's why it's obvious that people don't choose to be homosexual.
I honestly don't understand why so many people have problems with homosexuality. Just because it's not what you believe doesn't mean you have to put it down!
I really honestly can't fathom why people hate it so much.
Now, I remember one of the comments I read said something along the lines of "I'm ok with gays, as long as one doesn't try to hit on me, then I'll beat him up"
But isn't that just like someone of the opposite gender that you have no sexual interest in hitting on you?
I really can't understand it.
I think everyone should be free to marry whomever they want. I see absolutely no problems with gay marriage and rights.
Oh, this brings me to another point!
Some people think that marriage is a union between a man and a woman, and should be kept that way. And I understand that yes, that is the proper definition of marriage.
BUT, people who are married get different rights than people who aren't! If they could make it that a civil union between two homosexuals has the same rights as a married heterosexual couple, then I'll be perfectly fine with that.
Just I feel all people should have the same rights.
America is the land of the free, so everyone should have equal fredoms. Being homofobic is, in my opinion, just like being racist.
Thank you for reading =)

My Thoughts/Opinions on Abortion
Ok, so I haven't been on here in ages!! But I don't want to do my homework, so here's my opinion on abortion....
First of all, I think it's up to the woman.
To an extent.
If she was raped, or if she was too young, or something like that, I think it's perfectly fine.
If she just doesn't want it, ehh..... I guess.
If she continually gets abortions, heck no! That's where I draw the line. That's just stupid.
Most people make the argument that you shouldn't kill a living person. And I see what they're saying, but honestly, it hasn't even fully developed yet. and I had a better arguement that I can't think of right now.
Anyway, I just don't see why a poor girl raped in the streets should have to go through with giving birth to a child she can't take care of. And I know she could just give up the child when it's born, but there's a risk of death during childbirth!
It honestly depends on many different factors. And I'm not saying "LET'S ALL GO OUT AND GET ABORTIONS!!!" I'm saying that sometimes, they're acceptable. Not that I'm super happy about that, but if I was raped, I know I wouldn't want to have to go through pregnancy and childbirth. I'm SIXTEEN! I have school to focus on (and I'm even terrible at that!)!
And that's my (lame) opinion.
Peace,
Nessa.

It's url is http://talkingaboutsuicide.webs.com/I created this website for people who were/are considering suicide, so that they can talk about it with other people who went through similar situations.
If you, or someone you know are/is concidering suicide, send them the link.
Thanks,
Vanessa.
P.S., now that I put this up, I'll try to make an actual entry relevant to my blog :)
